What is Planned Maintenance?
Simply put, planned maintenance means we are identifying and fixing the small problems annually or biannually to help you avoid costly, disruptive issues with your door system in the future. While we can’t guarantee that you’ll never have any major issues with your door system, we can help you avoid many of the common problems. Our RCI Doors™ technicians follow industry safety standards to ensure your doors are safe and compliant.
What Exactly is SafeDoorPM?
SafeDoorPM is a unique planned maintenance and safety compliance program for commercial door systems. When you schedule your SafeDoorPM, one of our technicians will perform an in-depth inspection of your system. This includes all important components, both structural and mechanical, as well as settings, safety devices, and controls. Our technicians will evaluate your door system based on manufacturer specifications and OHSA standards. Throughout the inspection process, our technician will take notes and photos regarding any problems found and the maintenance they performed.
After the inspection, these notes and photos will be available through your SafeDoorPM portal so you can review the information at your convenience. We will also provide a quote for any problems found that require a repair service so that you can make decision when you are ready. These records, and any for follow-up repairs, can be accessed freely and whenever you need them – helping you meet OHSA standards and have the necessary documentation if an accident were to occur.
How Often Do I Need PM?
Your door systems require planned maintenance once or twice a year sometimes more depending on the environment and level of use – but don’t worry, you won’t have to keep track of that. With SafeDoorPM, we track your schedule and will contact you when it is time to schedule your next service. We give you peace of mind to avoid many of the big, disruptive issues with your door system by finding and fixing the small problems.
